There are always plenty of secrets behind Hollywood movie-making; some involve moments that were never supposed to happen – such as kissing scenes that end up being memorable and amazing due to a twisted fate thrown into them while filming is happening without even realizing it.
Lost in transition:
The Academy Award-winning film Lost in Translation is about a romance between an aging Hollywood actor and a lonely young newlywed. As the pair part at the end of the movie, they share an intimate embrace and kiss goodbye. Sometime during that scene, director Sophia Coppola revealed in an interview that this was never supposed to happen! “It was always meant to be this tender goodbye where both knew they had touched each other,” she shares.” And I remember sometimes (Bill Murray) would spring things on Scarlet Johansson; it was fun to get her reaction.”
