The University of Calgary International Entrance Scholarship is a prestigious scholarship that was established to help students from outside Canada, who wanted to join one of the world’s best universities. Overview of the University of Calgary International Entrance Scholarship
This scholarship is open to all international students who have completed high school and choosing an undergraduate degree in any subject at the University Of Calgary during the fall term. The scholarships will be provided by the University Of Calgary itself based on the academic excellence of the applicants.
Two students from among the applicants will be selected for the scholarship.
The scholarship will be provided to the students of the first year and will be renewable till the course duration ( in the second, third and fourth year) provided that the selected student satisfies all the conditions.
Description of International Entrance Scholarship
The University of Calgary International Entrance Scholarship is offered annually for first-year undergraduate students ( who are admitted in the fall term ) which can provide $20,000 for tuition fees directly into the recipient’s bank account, ( $20,000 will be provided only for the first year, for a four-year course it will be equal to $60,000 as it will be renewable each year )
If the student who bagged the scholarship in the first year continues to pay the international differential tuition fee and maintains a GPA of 2.60 or more over a minimum of 24.00 units in the previous fall and winter terms will be eligible for renewal of the scholarships in the second, third and fourth year of the course.
The payment will be split equally into the fall and winter terms. For the fall term payment will be made at the end of August and at the end of December for the winter term.
Eligibility and Selection Process
International students who are not Canadian citizens or Permanent Residents of Canada and who pay the differential fee and seeking admission in any Bachelor’s degree are eligible for the application.
Applicants must have to qualify for the university’s English Language Proficiency requirement to be eligible for the scholarship.
Applications are judged by an admissions committee based on the academic excellence and achievements of the applicants during secondary education and two applicants will be selected for the scholarship.
Selected applicants will get notifications from the college by March/April, and there will be further instructions to claim it.
